In his chat with CNN, the emPawa boss said snubbing life-changing this for the sake of creating value in the music industry, helped him grow among his peers.

According to Mr Eazi, he was once advised to take a juicy deal and venture into agriculture but he choosed to remain a person of value, which he said it’s now paying off.

His words; “I remembered being in Los Angeles, meeting the president of a very big label. He happens to be one of the most respected men in music. He offered me this deal that was life-changing during our meeting.

“I remembered going back to my hotel room, I had a migraine for 24 hours. Like I was in such a good hotel, but I couldn’t enjoy it because I was thinking, and some people on my team were just like ‘yo, Eazi, this is it for us. You take this deal, and you can even go and open a farm somewhere’.

“I thought of it and for me, I just felt like the ecosystem was bigger than that amount. This industry is bigger than this. I wanted to be an industry player, not just for myself. I want to create value and wherever there is value, there will be profit.”

Born Oluwatosin Ajibade, the Nobody singer is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

He debuted his music career in 2012 with a song titled, Pipi Dance.

Having dropped a debut that earned him accolades, Mr Eazi went further to release other successful songs such as Skin Tight, which featured Ghanaian music star, Efya, in 2015. The song, however, gave rise to further collaborations with other A-list acts including –Sarkodie, Lil Kesh and Burna Boy.
